Palm Springs Area Real Estate Sales Slump, Prices Up in 2014
Home sales were down 18.3% in 2014. Much of the loss was due to the strength of the dollar, which stopped foreign buyers from entering the market.
Nevertheless, home prices rose last year. The median price for single-family homes gained a healthy 14.4%, while the average price rose 13.8%. The median price is now at late 2004 levels.
Condo/attached home sales also fell, dropping 12.2%.
The median price Condos/attached homes was up 16.8% and the average price was up 17.5%.
